I’m humbled. Thanks for a great year!
Wishing all a Happy New Year!
Here’s an excerpt:
The Louvre Museum has 8.5 million visitors per year. This blog was viewed about 130,000 times in 2015. If it were an exhibit at the Louvre Museum, it would take about 6 days for that many people to see it.
Hi Greg, many thanks for a great blog. I love the drawings and your writing style.
Keep up the good work. At least you take the time to actually write about what you love. I never seem to find enough hours in the day
Your most welcome. Good to know that you enjoy what I’m putting up here.
Keep it up.
That is the plan. 🙂
This post should carry a warning: “Extra Fancy Report” 🙂
It was my first e-mail this morning I thought I hit the wrong button or something like that. And I hit it again. It was a pleasure to read it!
Great report, You’re not little Greg any more… You’re all grown up… 😛
It has been very pleasure, entertaining and instructional reading You, and for free!
So, thanks Greg
I wish you tons of inspiration and creativity for the next coming year.
Oh! And heath, luck and all of those things that come in handy too!
António
Thanks Antonio!
Don’t be too impressed with the report. It was generated by WordPress. All I did was share it here. LOL
I means a lot to hear that you enjoy and find the blog useful. I appreciate it.
Happy New Year!
Love your blog, Greg. I’m glad I found it.
Thanks Kinderhook! I thoroughly enjoy your blog as well.
Happy New Year!
Impressive report Greg I appreciate the time it must take you to keep the posts flowing. I find more intersting things to read on your site than any other I know of. To make the amount of practical projects you complete I used to think you must not sleep much , with the additional amount of experimentation and blog writing you do I am now convinced you must not sleep at all .
How did you go with your objectives you set yourself at the beginning of the year,( Did you complete a commission) what objectives are you setting for next year (2016)
Best wishes for a happy , Healthy and prosperous New Year , (I look forward to reading next years blogs)
Best Regards
David
Thank you David! Those are very kind words indeed.
I have become very adept at time management. More precisely. the ability to start and stop at any point. Sometimes I only spend 10-15 minutes on something if the opportunity presents. It all adds up. Giving the illusion that I work 24-7. Its all smoke and mirrors. LOL
No comissioned work for me in 2015. Its was an ambitious goal, probably too ambitious. The move to a new house didn’t help any either. For the coming year I plan to continue exploring joinery and increase my focus on using 2x construction lumber. Just about everyone has access to 2x lumber, either purchased or salvaged from pallets and the like. There are allowances that need to be made, but quality furniture can be culled from this humble material with a little care and forethought. Also, the local Woodcraft has been advertising for folks to teach classes. Not sure I’m ready for it, but I may at least talk with them about it.
Happy New Year!
Hi Greg if you can find the time you must pursue the Woodcraft teaching option if you don’t you will be denying a number of people the opportunity of experiencing your enthusiasim and skills first hand.
It is also said that the best way of learning a skill is to teach it to others
I just might send them an email tomorrow? I’ll keep you posted as what comes of it. Thanks for the support and encouragement.
Thanks for a years worth of great content! Your drawings especially, are a wonderfully personal stamp and really enrich the blog.
You are most welcome. So glad to hear that you enjoy what I’m posting. The drawings are as important to me as the woodworking and it is very satisfying to know that others find some value in them as well.
Happy New Year!
